Ayako Sato est étudiante dans la classe d’electro acoustique de Carl Stone à la Tokyo University of the Arts.
Sa pièce ( sen no kioku,recollections of a line ) est le résultat d’un workshop organisé par Carl Stone et Tomoko Momiyama sur le thème de Fukushima et en relation avec le projet « Meanwhile in Fukushima ».
Pour ce workshop, il était bien expliqué aux étudiants qu’il s’agissait de s’inscrire dans un projet qui se développe de façon organique, sans terme échu, pour correspondre avec la démesure de la catastrophe.
D’où la grande liberté dans la recherche et le résultat, qui échappe à toute forme d’académisme.
Ayako Sato est née en 1981. Elle a suivi un cursus musical complet au collège Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, avant d’intégrer l’Université des Arts de Tokyo.
