En Russie, il existe une ville . Une ville à plusieurs niveaux. A plusieurs lectures.
Il y a des allées, des portes qui s’ouvrent, qui se ferment. Il y a des discutions, des rendez
vous. Il y a des envies de se retrouver dans un endroit à soi, entre amis.
Et puis il y a des envies de créer, de fabriquer pour soi, pour les autres…
On la nomme : « Cité de garages ».
On peut descendre la regarder vivre, se glisser dans ses tunnels, parler à ses gens, tenter de
la comprendre mais elle est d’une essence très complexe.
Elle vient d’un long chemin que les hommes ont creusé dans les méandres du soviétisme.
Cette ville est née de ces décombres.
Les années 90…après que tout le système se soit cassé, ces lieux, qui autrefois étaient fait
pour garer des voitures, sont devenues des espaces pour produire ou réparer des choses et
puis parfois ou l’on a fini par vivre. Le destin des cités de garages soviétiques raconte trente
années de l’histoire souterraine de la Russie capitaliste.
Les Garazhnik (les habitants des garages) font exister cette ville, son économie parallèle,
son hacking artisanal. L’entraide et l’instinct de survie ont survécus.
Dans cette création radiophonique le dessin de cette cité se retrace à Moscou mais aussi
dans d’autres villes plus à l’Est, Naberejnye Tchelny au Tatarstan et Oulianovsk au bord du
fleuve La Volga.
Dans toutes ces rencontres, il y a là une certaine idée du savoir faire manuel, d’un rapport
fort à l’artisanat, d’un mode vie en commun ancestral, qui traversent les siècles.
Mais aussi comment la vie s’est (ré)organisée par elle même avec ses fantômes, ses peurs et
ses envies d’avenir.

The Great Scheme En Masse, by art-pop project Fierbinteanu, is an ear-candy audio work on the present days’ societal, political and cultural propaganda associated with the past, the future and with (the solutions to) the problems of Humanity.
More precisely, it is an experimental story about the everyday realities, beliefs and/or “en masse” illusions: human, environmental & civil rights, pornography, Socialism, Communism, Capitalism, God, Satan, Elvis, New York and so on.
The piece is designed as a sonic selfie of every person in the world, including art critics, from the beginning of time till now. It is a sound-collage with symphonic ambitions, filtered through a diplomatic-punk aesthetic.

Fierbinteanu is a multi-laureate independent art project, with activities related to experimental pop music, sound, radio and video art, contemporary choreography and theater. Gabriela and Cristian Fierbinteanu have performed live on relevant European scenes, including Berlin Konzerthaus, and released albums via European and Romanian independent labels.
Their works have been presented and have received awards or special mentions, as of 2019, in international festivals of contemporary art, performance, radio, music and film:
