« Ceci n’est pas un titre, les artistes et l’intitulation », un ouvrage publié sous la direction e.a. de Laurence Brogniez, professeur d’histoire littéraire et de littérature comparée à l’ULB.
La question centrale, au coeur de cette publication qui balaye pas mal de disciplines artistiques : « De quel pouvoir le titre est-il détenteur dans la création artistique ? »
Avec une série d’artistes, les arts se répondent par delà les frontières des disciplines respectives : l’écriture trouve sa place dans l’espace pictural, la composition graphique dans la forme imprimée de certains texte poétique… Dans l’histoire de l’art, il y a quelques artistes incontournables quand on évoque la présence forte des titres. Les contributeurs à l’ouvrage ont chacun étudié, en fonction de leur spécialité, un artiste et une époque bien déterminée… on y évoque Duchamp, Satie, Mallarmé, Magritte… Qu’est-ce qui unit tous ces artistes ? Laurence Brogniez nous donne quelques éléments de réponse.

Les inégalités entre les hommes et les femmes remonteraient à la naissance des trois religions du Livre, à savoir, la religion juive, la religion musulmane et la religion catholique. Dès le départ, la femme a été crée à partir de la côte d’Adam. Non contente d’être façonnée à partir d’un os du Mâle, elle le pousse à manger le fameux fruit défendu. La femme devient dès lors une tentatrice, un être quasi malfaisant qu’il faut contenir.
Issues toutes les trois d’une même zone géographique, le bassin méditérranéen, les religions du Livre ont pour base un certain code de l’honneur, où les femmes sont clairement inférieures à l’homme.
